Vehicle Volume Continues to Rise, Japek Toll Implements Contraflow

Police and Jasa Marga are implementing traffic engineering in the form of contraflow on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road section due to the increasing vehicle volume on Eid al-Fitr day or Saturday (21/3). Contraflow has been applied starting from KM 55 to KM 65 at 11:05 WIB. However, because the vehicle volume continues to increase, the contraflow has been extended from KM 47 at 11:54 WIB. “Traffic volume is observed to be increasing, access to contraflow via KM 47 was opened at 11:54 WIB,” said VP Corporate Secretary and Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT), Ria Marlinda Paallo, in her statement on Saturday. Ria stated that JTT continues to coordinate intensively with the police and related agencies in managing traffic to maintain the smoothness and safety of road users’ journeys. “JTT urges all road users to always obey traffic signs and directions from officers in the field,” she said.
