Vehicle Volume at Regional Nusantara Toll Roads Increases, Reaching 558,231
Jakarta — PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded an increase in vehicle volume across three sections of the Regional Nusantara toll roads from H-10 to H-8 of Eid al-Fitr 1447H, spanning 11-13 March 2026.
“Overall, the total traffic volume recorded 558,231 vehicles. This figure represents a 0.28 per cent increase from the normal traffic volume of 556,668 vehicles,” stated Jasa Marga Chief Executive Officer Rivan A Purwantono during a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.
The traffic volume breakdown across the three Regional Nusantara sections is as follows:
The Belawan-Medan-Tanjung Morawa toll recorded 261,133 vehicles, representing a 1.34 per cent increase from the normal traffic volume of 257,683 vehicles. Within this figure, 59,413 vehicles passed through the Amplas toll gate heading towards Medan city, a 1.7 per cent increase from the normal volume of 58,422 vehicles. Meanwhile, 63,873 vehicles exited Medan city through the Amplas toll gate, representing a 3.59 per cent increase from the normal volume of 61,660 vehicles.
For the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi toll road, 47,495 vehicles were recorded, a 6.25 per cent increase from the normal volume of 44,701 vehicles. Of this figure, 14,815 vehicles entered through the Kualanamu toll gate from Kualanamu International Airport direction, representing a 5.93 per cent increase from the normal volume of 13,986 vehicles. Meanwhile, 15,481 vehicles proceeded towards Kualanamu International Airport via the Kualanamu toll gate, a 2.11 per cent increase from the normal volume of 15,161 vehicles.
The Manado-Bitung toll road recorded a traffic volume of 21,785 vehicles, representing a 7.22 per cent increase from the normal volume of 20,318 vehicles.
Purwantono urged the public to avoid travel during peak exodus periods on the Belmera and MKTT toll roads, anticipated on 17 March 2026, whilst taking advantage of a 30 per cent toll discount on several sections operated by the Jasa Marga Group, including the Belmera and MKTT toll roads.
The discount programme on the Trans-Sumatra toll roads for the exodus period will begin on 15 March 2026 at 00:00 WIB until 16 March 2026 at 24:00 WIB.
Jasa Marga advised toll road users to adequately prepare for travel during the Eid al-Fitr 1447H/2026 extended holiday period. Before entering the toll roads, ensure both vehicles and drivers are in optimal condition, confirm adequate fuel supply and electronic payment balance, and comply with all signage and directives from field personnel.
