Vehicle Traffic Intensifies on Trans-Java Toll Road Central Java Section
SOLO — Data from the Central Java Regional Police shows a marked increase in vehicle traffic passing through several toll gates on the Trans-Java Toll Road.
Data collected over a 24-hour period from 6:00 to 06:00 on 14-15 March 2026 revealed a 35 percent surge in vehicles compared to the previous day.
According to AKBP Aidil Fitri Syah, Head of Operations at the Central Java Regional Police’s Traffic Division, the Kalikangkung toll gate saw a significant increase of 8,221 vehicles, representing the 35 percent rise.
Vehicle entry and exit volumes across several toll gates in Central Java have varied considerably. At one toll gate, 4,747 vehicles entered with peak traffic occurring between 13:00 and 14:00, averaging 271 vehicles per hour. Meanwhile, 8,475 vehicles exited with peak traffic between 01:00 and 02:00, averaging 466 vehicles per hour.
At another toll gate, 36,860 vehicles entered with peak traffic between 14:00 and 15:00, averaging 2,691 vehicles per hour. Exit traffic totalled 18,569 vehicles with peak hours between 15:00 and 16:00, averaging 1,277 vehicles per hour.
A third toll gate recorded 6,753 vehicles entering with peak traffic between 15:00 and 16:00, averaging 490 vehicles per hour. Exit traffic totalled 8,631 vehicles with peak hours between 16:00 and 17:00, averaging 715 vehicles per hour.
