Vehicle Queue Stretches 5 Kilometres at Ketapang Port
A queue of vehicles stretched approximately five kilometres towards Ketapang Port in Banyuwangi, East Java, on Friday (28/8/2026). The congestion occurred as the number of vehicles increased while the Ketapang–Gilimanuk ferry service remained limited. The situation was exacerbated by capacity upgrade works on the Movable Bridge (MB) II Gilimanuk dock, which is being improved from 20 tonnes to 50 tonnes. During the works, vehicles, particularly logistics trucks, had to wait their turn to cross via the LCM dock.
