Vehicle Emission Testing Becomes an Effort to Reduce Air Pollution in Jakarta

Officers are testing exhaust emissions from motorcycles at the exit of Blok M Terminal, Jakarta, on Thursday (9/4/2026). The South Jakarta Environmental Sub-Department is organising motor vehicle emission tests as part of the implementation of Jakarta Provincial Governor’s Regulation No. 66 of 2020 on Motor Vehicle Exhaust Emission Testing. In addition, this emission testing activity aims to reduce the negative impacts of air pollution on human health and the environment, as well as to assess engine performance and the level of combustion efficiency in motor vehicles.
