Vegetable Trucks Begin to be Banned from Entering Bogor Market, 124 Vehicles Turned Back
The Bogor City Government (Pemkot Bogor) has turned back around 124 trucks transporting vegetable and fruit commodities that were intending to enter the Bogor Market area as part of the market zone reorganisation.
Head of the Transportation Division of the Bogor City Transportation Department (Dishub), Dody Wahyudin, stated that the truck turnaround policy has been implemented since Tuesday night (24/3/2026) until Thursday morning (26/3/2026).
“So up to today, we have turned back nearly 124 transports of vegetables and fruits,” said Dody when met at the Bogor Market on Thursday (26/3/2026).
Dody explained that the trucks are directed to Pasar Gembrong Sukasari and Pasar Jambu Dua as alternative unloading locations.
He mentioned that the highest number of trucks turned back were at several roads leading to the Bogor Market.
“The most numerous first at Jalan Otista heading to the market, second around Empang, third at accesses in Sukasari and Batutulis,” he said.
The drivers are asked to divert to Pasar Gembrong in Sukasari and Pasar Jambu Dua.
The policy was socialised before Thursday (26/3/2026), which is the deadline for the ban on commodity transport entering the Bogor Market area to take effect.
Dedie explained that the interception of trucks is part of efforts to reorganise the Bogor Market area, including the crackdown on street vendors (PKL) on several roads.
The roads focused on for the crackdown include Jalan Roda, Jalan Lawang Seketeng, Jalan Pedati, and Jalan Bata.
“So supplies can no longer be dropped in the Bogor Market area. Everything is in accordance with the commitment between the current market traders who have moved to Jambu Dua and Pasar Sukasari; they all must vacate the Bogor Market area,” said Dedie at Tugu Kujang, Bogor City, on Tuesday night (24/3/2026).
“Certainly, we will provide some socialisation as well as guidance. Guiding means no longer to the Bogor Market area,” he continued.
Sujatmiko detailed that the guard points include Tugu Kujang, the entrance to Jalan Roda, the entrance to Suryakencana, the Empang area leading to Gang Aut, Gang Aut, and Lawang Gintung connected to Jalan Pahlawan.
“All goods transports carrying vegetables and fruits are intercepted at the inlets leading to the Bogor Market and its surroundings,” he stated.
