Vegetable Trucks Banned from Entering Bogor Market Starting 26 March, Redirected to Two Other Markets
The Bogor City Government is beginning to regulate the flow of vegetable and fruit commodity distribution to the Suryakencana Bogor Market as part of area restructuring. This policy will be fully enforced starting Thursday (26/3/2026), prohibiting goods transport from entering the market area. Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim stated that drivers of commodity transport will be directed to switch to two locations, namely Pasar Gembrong in Sukasari and Pasar Jambu Dua. “If the supply side is not given sufficient information and not controlled, it can be imagined that the Bogor Market area will never be orderly,” said Dedie at Tugu Kujang on Tuesday (24/3/2026) night. According to him, all supply activities will no longer be allowed in the Bogor Market area. “So supplies must no longer be dropped off in this Bogor Market area. Everything must clear the Bogor Market area,” he said. He added that in the initial stage, the government will conduct socialization and guidance to the transport drivers before the rules are fully enforced. Several points that will be guarded include Tugu Kujang, the entrance to Jalan Roda, Suryakencana, Empang towards Gang Aut, Gang Aut, and Lawang Gintung connected to Jalan Pahlawan. “All goods transport carrying vegetables and fruits will be intercepted at the inlets leading to the Bogor Market and surrounding areas,” said Sujatmiko. However, starting Thursday (26/3/2026), enforcement in the form of ticketing will be carried out by a joint team from TNI, Police, and Satpol PP. “No ticketing today. Today is for directing and socialising,” he said.
