VDHS buys Indonesian firm

SINGAPORE (Reuter): Marine engineering and infrastructure group Van der Horst Ltd (VDHS) said yesterday it was finalizing negotiations to acquire an unnamed company in Indonesia.

A Van der Horst statement gave no financial details of the purchase.

The statement said the acquisition would reinforce the company's long-term interest and commitment in Indonesia.

It said the deal would not have a material impact on the group's earnings per share or net tangible assets per share for the financial year ending Sept. 30, 1996. It would be funded from internal resources and debt financing.
