Local gaming startup VCGamers is strengthening its position within Indonesia’s digital economy growth by becoming a home for approximately 25,000 digital MSMEs across the country.

The platform, known for game top-ups and digital products, has seen a year-on-year increase in the number of MSMEs opening stores on its site, driven by rising demand for digital services and the growth of the national gaming industry.

VCGamers co-founder Ibnu Anggara stated the company continues to create opportunities for digital MSMEs to grow through its established ecosystem.

‘We welcome MSMEs to open stores on our platform. As a game top-up and digital products platform, VCGamers will always facilitate all MSMEs to have equal opportunities in the digital economy,’ Angga said.

He explained that the presence of digital MSMEs on the platform not only strengthens the national gaming ecosystem but also opens up new economic opportunities, particularly for those using the digital sector as a source of income.

He added that Indonesia’s digital economy growth is driving new business models, including digital product-based businesses such as game vouchers, digital items, and gaming industry support services.

In addition to focusing on digital business ecosystem development, VCGamers is also working to build a healthy digital space by implementing Indonesia’s existing regulations.

One measure taken is enforcing age restrictions in line with the Indonesia Game Rating System (IGRS) on products available on the platform.

Angga said the policy is implemented to create a safer, child-friendly digital ecosystem.

‘We aim to contribute to a healthy and child-friendly digital ecosystem, with clear boundaries on accessible products,’ he added.

He added that digital industry growth must be accompanied by good governance to ensure sustainable development.

‘Currently, VCGamers is one of the local digital platforms hosting tens of thousands of digital MSMEs in Indonesia amid growing gaming and digital economy sectors,’ Angga stated.
