Vaudy Starworld Opens International Seminar, IKPI Strengthens Indonesia-Korea Tax Collaboration
IKPI, Bali: Chairman of the Indonesian Tax Consultants Association (IKPI) Vaudy Starworld officially opened the International Tax Seminar and Business Networking between IKPI and the Korea Association of Certified Tax Attorneys by Examination (KACTAE) at the Harris Sunset Road Hotel in Bali on Monday (31/8/2026). The opening of the seminar marked the commitment of both organisations to strengthen collaboration within the tax consultant profession amid the close economic relationship between Indonesia and South Korea.
In his remarks, Vaudy expressed appreciation to KACTAE President Jang Bo Won and the South Korean delegation present in Indonesia. He said the meeting in Bali was a continuation of the friendship established since IKPI’s visit to South Korea last year.
“Last year KACTAE welcomed us in Korea. Today, it is our turn to welcome our friends from Korea in Indonesia,” said Vaudy.
He assessed that the relationship between IKPI and KACTAE has developed beyond a relationship between professional bodies. According to him, both organisations have the opportunity to become a bridge that strengthens business ties between Indonesia and South Korea.
Vaudy said the increasing trade, investment, technology, and business activity between the two countries demands closer collaboration within the tax consultant profession. He therefore expressed hope that the established relationship can continue to be strengthened through various forms of sustainable cooperation.
“The relationship between IKPI and KACTAE is not merely a relationship between two professional organisations. We can become a bridge between the business communities of Indonesia and South Korea,” he said.
He also expressed hope that the international forum would become the starting point for broader partnerships in the future. According to him, both organisations share the same goal of building a tax consultant profession that is professional, competent, and of integrity, and trusted by the public and the business community.
“Let us elevate the relationship between IKPI and KACTAE: from friendship to partnership, from partnership to opportunity, and from opportunity to shared prosperity,” he said.
The international seminar held by IKPI together with KACTAE brought together tax practitioners from Indonesia and South Korea to share perspectives on international tax developments while strengthening professional networks between the two countries.
