Vance says he will be in Switzerland for two days for talks with Iran

Washington - US Vice President JD Vance has said he will remain in Switzerland for one or two days to hold talks with an Iranian delegation. “I can only be there for one or two days,” Vance told reporters before his departure. Vance had previously cancelled his trip to Switzerland, where the first meeting between US and Iranian representatives, involving mediators from Pakistan and Qatar, was scheduled to take place on 19 June. On Thursday (18/6), Vance said his departure depended on the arrival time of the Iranian delegation in Switzerland. Then on Saturday (20/6), the Swiss Foreign Ministry announced that the Iranian delegation had arrived in the country. Meanwhile, the Office of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that Sharif, accompanied by a high-level delegation, had departed from Islamabad to attend the talks between the United States and Iran scheduled to take place on Sunday in Switzerland.
