Dedi explained that the illegal parking enforcement operation involved 30 joint personnel from the Transportation Sub-agency, Social Sub-agency, Civil Service Police Unit, as well as police and military personnel.
During the operation, Dedi continued, officers netted a total of 215 motor vehicles, consisting of 206 motorcycles subjected to the valve stem removal operation, one car that was towed, and seven motorcycles that were transported to the West Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency headquarters.
“We also issued an on-the-spot ticket to one four-wheeled vehicle,” he said.
Through this enforcement, the authorities hope to create a deterrent effect so that no residents will again misuse road shoulders or pavements for private vehicle parking.
