We, inhabitants of Villa Cinere Mas, RW 13 Pisangan subdistrict, Ciputat, Tangerang hereby protest the expansion of the Jupiter Land housing project, because it involves filling in a 12-hectare valley carried out by PT Indokisar Djaja of the Ongko Group.

The expansion is destroying a natural valley and green space with all the harmful consequences to the Pesanggrahan river, groundwater catchment, trees, ponds and water resources in general.

Another impact is the high density of land use due to the construction of 400 luxury houses without the provision of public facilities. It will be a big burden for the existing roads and bridges which have been maintained for years with funds coming from the inhabitants. The new project's blueprint does not show any alternatives. The project foresees using the existing infrastructure unilaterally, without any approach to the inhabitants.

We have reported the damage of the environment to the authorities, the regent of Tangerang and the environmental agency. But sadly, no positive response has been forthcoming.
