Vaccine and Booster Vitamin Services Now Include Insurance Protection
Preventive health services such as vaccination and booster vitamin infusions are expanding with a more integrated approach by adding insurance protection. The trend emerges as the public becomes more health-conscious and seeks greater peace of mind when accessing medical services. People now value not only the quality of medical actions but also protection against potential risks that may arise after health services are delivered. This development has prompted several health service providers to introduce additional protection that is directly integrated with medical services as part of enhancing the overall patient experience. One example is Cermati Protect together with Bumame through the Bumame Protect Plus product for customers of vaccine and booster vitamin infusion services at Bumame Clinics. The program is available at Bumame Clinic TB Simatupang, BSD, and Cideng. Insurance protection is provided by Oona Insurance Indonesia, supervised by regulators. VP of Insurance at Cermati Protect, Juanri, said integrating insurance protection is part of an effort to provide a more comprehensive sense of security for customers of preventive health services. “We understand that customer comfort is the top priority in health services. Through the insurance protection for side effects at Bumame Clinic, we ensure that every customer gains comprehensive protection without complicated procedures, both during and after receiving medical services,” he said in a written statement on Friday (22/5). CEO and Co-founder of Bumame, James Andrew Wihardja, said public interest in vaccine and booster vitamin services shows a rising trend in recent times. He noted that this condition reflects increasing public awareness of health as well as growing consumer confidence in health services. “We see a rise in trend and interest among Bumame customers in vaccine and booster vitamin products. In addition to showing rising public awareness, this also indicates growing consumer trust in Bumame as the provider of their health service needs,” he said. He added that the collaboration with Cermati Protect is expected to provide added value through protection against unforeseen risks. Bumame Protect Plus itself is a Personal Accident Insurance service covering several protection benefits, including a death benefit due to accident of up to Rp52.5 million, total or partial permanent disability up to Rp25 million, medical expenses due to accidents up to Rp25 million, and protection for ongoing care due to effects of medical actions with coverage up to Rp1 million. The protection is automatically provided to customers who transact vaccine and booster vitamin infusion services at Bumame Clinic. In addition, the claims process is conducted digitally through the Cermati Protect portal. Customers can upload chronology data, identification documents, bank details, and supporting documents online to facilitate the administrative process.
