VA Tech wins order in RI

VIENNA (Reuter): Elin Energieversorgung, a subsidiary of VA
Technologie AG, said yesterday it had won a 250 million
schillings order to equip a power plant on the Besai River in
Indonesia.

In a statement, Elin said construction of the plant, in
Lampung province, should take four years. The facility will start
up in the year 2000.

Elin will supply electro-technical equipment, including
generators, transformers and switch gear, to PT PLN and train
plant staff.
