Uya Kuya to Be Inaugurated as PAN Jakarta Chairman, Replacing Eko Patrio

The Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Central Board, Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas), will inaugurate Surya Utama, also known as Uya Kuya, as the Chairman of the PAN Regional Board (DPW) for DKI Jakarta today. Uya Kuya officially replaces Eko Hendro Purnomo, known as Eko Patrio.

PAN Deputy Chairman Viva Yoga confirmed that the inauguration will take place at Balai Sarbini, Semanggi, South Jakarta, this afternoon. In addition to the DPW board, Zulhas will also inaugurate all PAN Regional Branch (DPD) boards across DKI Jakarta.

“Today, PAN Central Board Chairman Bang Zulkifli Hasan will inaugurate Surya Utama, alias Uya Kuya, as the Chairman of PAN DPW DKI Jakarta, replacing Eko Hendro Purnomo, alias Eko Patrio,” Viva Yoga told reporters on Saturday (27/6/2026).

“In addition to inaugurating the DPW PAN DKI board, he will also inaugurate all PAN DPD boards throughout DKI Jakarta,” he added.

Viva Yoga also revealed three main reasons why the party appointed Uya Kuya to lead PAN Jakarta. Firstly, he said, Uya is considered to have good personal integrity as a cadre. “First, he possesses good personal integrity as a party fighter. Second, he has a high commitment to growing PAN in DKI Jakarta,” he stated.

Furthermore, Uya Kuya is considered to have a wide social network. The party hopes Uya can boost the vote count in Jakarta in future political contests. “Third, he has a broad social network, so it is hoped he can increase PAN’s electoral value in DKI Jakarta,” he concluded.

The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM Western Indonesian Time. According to gathered information, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung is scheduled to attend the inauguration of PAN Jakarta’s new board.
