Utut to play simultaneous chess

JAKARTA (JP): Top Indonesian Grand Master Utut Adianto will play 350 games in a simultaneous chess competition in Vietnam, Myanmar, India and four cities in Indonesia: Surakarta, Bandung, Medan and Jakarta.

The competition, sponsored by JAPFA food manufacturer, will serve as a warm-up for Utut before the world chess competition in November. He will face 50 JAPFA employees in each location.

The competition will start in Vietnam on June 23 and end here on Aug. 20. (ivy)
