Utilising OnTimeX Digital Innovation, Pelita Air Reveals Secrets Behind Airline's On-Time Service
Pelita Air has reaffirmed its commitment and consistency in maintaining flight punctuality, while ensuring an optimal travel experience for its customers.
The President Director of Pelita Air, Faik Fahmi, stated that Pelita Air’s consistency in maintaining On-Time Performance is supported by the utilisation of OnTimeX technology.
“OnTimeX is a digital innovation developed through the collaboration of Pelita Air’s operational team, to integrate aspects of safety, sustainability, and efficiency within the flight operational processes,” said Faik in a statement on Friday, 4 September 2026.
He explained that the development of OnTimeX originated from the need to provide flight operational processes that are more integrated, efficient, and precise.
“This technology assists the operational team in managing various flight data and information digitally, allowing the decision-making process to be conducted more quickly and accurately,” he added.
Faik further noted that OnTimeX is an evolution of the paperless cockpit and operational digitalisation initiatives that Pelita Air has implemented since 2023. This innovation has received recognition from Airbus through its subsidiary, NavBlue, as well as from Pertamina at the Annual Pertamina Quality Award 2026.
The digitalisation implemented across Pelita Air’s 16 Airbus A320 aircraft also reduces paper usage by more than 1.2 tonnes every year. Flight operational and technical data, which were previously processed manually, can now be managed digitally and automatically with greater precision.
“In addition to increasing work process efficiency, this also minimises the potential for errors during the pre-flight stage and supports flight punctuality,” said Faik.
Through the use of the OnTimeX digital innovation, Pelita Air has once again successfully achieved the award for the Best On-Time Performance Air Transport Business Entity for 2026, presented by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia.
The award was received directly by Faik Fahmi during the Aviation Award 2026 event in Bogor on Wednesday, 2 September 2026. The event was part of a series of programmes for the 2026 Coordination Meeting of Aviation Inspectors for Air Transport.
This achievement marks the second such honour, following Pelita Air’s receipt of the Best On-Time Performance award in August 2025 from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
Faik stated that this award is an appreciation of the consistency of all Pelita Air officers in maintaining operational quality and flight punctuality.
