Universitas Teknologi Bandung (UTB) celebrated its 25th graduation ceremony at the Harris Hotel and Convention Festival Citylink Bandung on Thursday, 4 June 2026. A total of 115 graduates were officially conferred degrees from various departments within the university. The procession was led by UTB Rector Muchammad Naseer and attended by key figures, including the Head of Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region IV Lukman, the Chairman of the LPPI Bandung Group Foundation Dadang Hermawan, and keynote speaker Gita Irawan Wirjawan, former Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2011–2014 period and a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University. The 115 graduates came from four departments: Informatics Engineering with 52 graduates, Industrial Engineering with 48 graduates, Visual Communication Design with 13 graduates, and Digital Business with 2 graduates. Head of LLDIKTI Region IV Lukman stressed the importance of graduates’ readiness to face rapid changes in the era of digital transformation. He stated that success is determined not only by academic ability but also by the capacity to adapt, build networks, and maintain integrity. Lukman reminded graduates to possess a strong moral compass as a foundation for thinking, acting, and making decisions. He also highlighted the need to build an agile mindset, which is open to change, quick to learn, and able to adjust to the times. Furthermore, he encouraged graduates to take accelerated steps in self-development, whether through competency enhancement, professional experience, or cross-disciplinary collaboration. ‘The world today offers many opportunities for those who are ready to move faster and continuously develop their capacity,’ he said. On the occasion, Lukman introduced the JAGO concept as a character trait that UTB graduates should embody. JAGO is an acronym for Jejaring (Networking), Adaptif (Adaptive), Gesit (Agile), and Orisinal (Original). ‘UTB graduates must become JAGO individuals. Build the widest possible networks, possess the ability to adapt to change, move swiftly in facing challenges, and remain original in creating works and solutions that benefit society,’ he said.
