Usually Armed and Drunk, Taufik Hidayat Wept Pitifully Begging for Help to Take Victim to Hospital

The alleged confinement and abuse case involving Taufik Hidayat against YTR (29) is gradually coming to light. A number of witnesses have begun to speak about Taufik Hidayat’s behaviour. One of them is the boarding house keeper, Resa Rohendi. Resa Rohendi stated that Taufik Hidayat has a very aggressive and temperamental nature, especially when returning home after work. On one occasion after returning from work, Taufik Hidayat was heavily drunk and tried to pick a fight with the boarding house keeper. “When he came back from a visit, he was heavily drunk and tried to pick a fight,” Resa Rohendi revealed on the Pagi-Pagi Seru programme on tvOne. Since that incident, he has never bothered him or dared to report to the neighbourhood head in order to maintain conditions in the boarding house environment and respect the other residents. However, Resa admitted that over time, Taufik Hidayat became an increasingly aggressive and temperamental person. “With the other boarding house neighbours, if someone passed by without saying excuse me, he would get angry. If he heard someone coughing, he would also get angry. That’s why we were hesitant to ask for his marriage certificate, for safety’s sake,” he explained. “He carried a machete every day. If we were to report him to the neighbourhood head, we were afraid someone might get hurt, and we wanted to protect the other boarding house residents,” he continued. Taufik always asked the boarding house keeper for time to continue staying until his job was relocated again. But every time he returned from work, the perpetrator was always drunk and angry. Taufik Wept Begging for Help. The situation was different during the last time he met Taufik. The suspect in the alleged confinement and abuse case was crying and begging Resa for help to take YTR to the hospital. The perpetrator told Resa that his wife had fallen in the bathroom and asked to be taken to hospital. “After those three months, he was actually asking for help, being very nice and asking for help. Because his wife was sick, there was a plan to take her to hospital. He was genuinely crying, asking for help,” he said. “He was crying, begging for help because his wife had fallen in the bathroom. He asked to be taken to hospital. In the end, she was taken to Ujung Berung Hospital,” he continued explaining. Strangely, upon arriving at the hospital, Taufik instead asked Resa to take care of YTR by claiming to be her relative.
