Using the Tecno Camon 50 Pro 5G Outdoors: Lightweight to Carry, Rain-Resistant

Tecno Camon 50 Pro 5G has officially been released in Indonesia on Tuesday (3 April 2025). Like its predecessor, the phone highlights photography and this time brings a refresh to the design. Before its official release in Indonesia, KompasTekno had the opportunity to take and use the Camon 50 Pro 5G for a day, testing the device’s camera capabilities. We carried this mid-range phone on a trek in open air in the Bogor area recently. During the trek, rain fell lightly. The Camon 50 Pro 5G I carried also got wet while I used it to shoot photos. However, thanks to the certifications, the phone remained usable even when wet from rain. In addition to its ruggedness, its light weight and compact, comfortable build drew attention. It feels practical to carry all day on open-air treks. However, because the body is designed quite long, there are slight difficulties accessing the screen with one hand. This makes the grip slippery, reducing the grip’s solidity and making it potentially easy to drop. Therefore, it is advisable to use a case to avoid too much slipperiness and to protect it. Conversely, because the body is slim and minimalist, the stylish impression of its colour accents could be maintained. The Camon 50 Pro 5G also fits easily in a pocket and can be stored in a small to medium bag. The slim body means the phone does not take up much space in a bag.
