REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The Regional Public Company (Perumda) Dharma Jaya will prepare 900 head of cattle to meet the sacrificial needs of Jakarta residents ahead of Idul Adha 1447 H. Hundreds of these cattle are confirmed to have undergone strict selection procedures and health checks.

The Director of Perumda Dharma Jaya, Raditya Endra Budiman, stated that the company has officially set a target of providing 900 head of cattle for sacrificial animals in welcoming Idul Adha. This strategic step is taken to ensure the availability of sacrificial animals that meet safe, healthy, intact, and halal (ASUH) standards for the capital’s residents.

“The provision of 900 head of cattle is expected to provide peace of mind for the community in performing the sacrificial worship with the support of animal quality and professional services from Perumda Dharma Jaya,” he said in his statement on Wednesday (29/4/2026).

He stated that Perumda Dharma Jaya will ensure every head of cattle is safe for consumers. Each head of cattle brought from various regions will be verified and must undergo a quarantine process as well as re-examination by the Jakarta Provincial Food Security, Maritime, and Agriculture Service (KPKP). “Our priority is to provide safety guarantees for consumers,” Raditya said.

Raditya added that the company has also optimised the animal slaughterhouse (RPH) infrastructure in Cakung, which is certified with a Veterinary Control Number (NKV) and halal. The semi-mechanical slaughtering facility is said to have an operational capacity of up to 250 head per day.

As part of service standardisation, Perumda Dharma Jaya will also deploy 100 professional personnel, including certified halal slaughterers (Juleha) and a packaging team. The company also offers comprehensive sacrificial meat management services, from slaughtering, carcass separation, to custom packaging in kilogram portions to facilitate distribution for the community.

“Through this integrated service system, we ensure that hygiene aspects are maintained from upstream to downstream. In addition, we also guarantee that the management of slaughter waste is carried out in accordance with applicable environmental regulations,” said Raditya.
