Using "Fast Track" Route, First Hajj Group Arrives in Madinah on 22 April
JAKARTA - The first flight group (kloter) of Hajj pilgrims for 2026 is scheduled to land in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday (22/4/2026). Director of Foreign Hajj Services at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Budi Agung Nugroho, stated that the pilgrims in the first kloter will use the fast-track scheme, allowing for a quicker immigration process at Madinah Airport. “With the fast-track scheme, the airport welcome will be brief. The official welcome will take place when the pilgrims arrive at their hotel in Madinah,” Budi said in his statement on Monday (20/4/2026). This is being carried out through cooperation with the service provider (syarikah) to ensure the movement flow is orderly and organised. “The pilgrims’ movement is arranged by squad and group so that from the airport to hotel room allocation, they remain in one group. This is important to maintain order,” Budi added. Budi mentioned that all services for Hajj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia are ready ahead of the first kloter’s arrival, including accommodation, meals, and transportation. He continued that 682 Hajj Service Implementation Officers (PPIH) from Jakarta have been deployed to the Madinah Work Area (Daker) and the airport to ensure the arrival and movement processes run smoothly. Meanwhile, regarding baggage handling, special services have been prepared so that the pilgrims’ belongings arrive safely at the hotel. During their stay in Madinah, the pilgrims will perform the Arbain worship for 8 to 9 days. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also guarantees meal services with a maximum of 27 meals during that period. “After that, the pilgrims will be transported to Mekkah to participate in the peak series of Hajj rituals,” Budi added.
