Usin Now Has a Solar-Powered Home After Police Renovation
In celebration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) carried out a home renovation programme at 80 locations across various regions of Indonesia as a tangible demonstration of care for the community. One of the houses inaugurated on Tuesday, 30 June, at 11:00 WIB is located in Kampung Sentul RT 003/RW 008, Cikeas Udik Village, Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency, belonging to Mr Usin (85). In his old age, Mr Usin can finally occupy a more decent, safe, and comfortable home. The house was built with a simple yet functional concept, consisting of a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. As an added value, the house is equipped with solar panels as an environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and easy-to-maintain source of electricity. The house was inaugurated by Deputy Chief of Police Komjen Dedi Prasetyo, accompanied by the Commander of the Mobile Brigade Corps, the Head of the International Relations Division, the Chief of Police’s Assistant for Logistics, and the Head of the Construction Function Bureau of the Chief of Police’s Logistics Staff. The atmosphere was warm and familial. After handing over the house keys and cutting the inauguration ribbon, the Deputy Chief of Police took time to chat with Mr Usin and local residents. The activity then continued with the distribution of social assistance in the form of basic food packages to the community. Dedi stated that the home renovation programme is a tangible form of Polri’s care for the community as well as a form of service whose benefits they wish to be continuously felt. “In the context of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, Polri is carrying out a simultaneous home renovation programme at 80 points throughout Indonesia. All beneficiaries have undergone an assessment process so that the assistance provided is right on target,” Dedi said in a written statement on Tuesday, 30 June 2026. Dedi hopes this programme can continue and reach more people in need of decent housing. “We also ask for prayers and support from the community so that Polri is always able to maintain security, strengthen synergy with all elements of the nation, and continue to be present to provide benefits to the community,” he said. The head of RT 003/RW 008 Cikeas Udik, Mr Slamet, representing the residents, expressed gratitude for the attention given to one of his residents. “Alhamdulillah, thank you very much to the Deputy Chief of Police and everyone from Polri who has helped Mr Usin. He is 85 years old and his house really needed repairs. Now he has a decent and comfortable home. We as residents are happy to see it. Hopefully, Polri is always blessed with health, carries out its duties smoothly, and continues to care for small communities like ours,” he said.
