Usin Now Has a Solar-Powered Home After Police Renovation

Bogor, VIVA – In celebration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) is implementing a house renovation programme across 80 locations throughout Indonesia as a tangible expression of care for the community.

One of the houses officially inaugurated on Tuesday, 30 June, is located in Kampung Sentul, Cikeas Udik, Gunung Putri, Bogor Regency, belonging to Mr Usin, aged 85. In his twilight years, Mr Usin is finally able to occupy a more decent, safe, and comfortable home. The house was built with a simple yet functional concept, consisting of a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom.

As an added value, the house is equipped with solar panels as an environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and low-maintenance source of electricity.

The inauguration was conducted by the Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police, Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo, accompanied by the Commander of Brimob Polri, the Head of International Relations, the Head of Logistics, and the Head of Facilities and Infrastructure.

The atmosphere was warm and familial. After handing over the house keys and cutting the ceremonial ribbon, the Deputy Chief took the time to converse with Mr Usin and local residents. The event continued with the distribution of social assistance in the form of basic food packages to the community.

Dedi stated that the house renovation programme is a concrete form of Polri’s care for the community and a manifestation of service intended to provide continuous benefits.
