Used LSUVs Under Rp150 Million, Plenty of Viable Options
Jakarta, KOMPAS.com - The used car market remains a rational option for consumers who want to upgrade to a Low Sport Utility Vehicle (LSUV) without breaking the bank.
With budgets under Rp150 million, the range of units is quite broad, especially models produced in 2015–2018 that are still in usable condition for daily needs and longer trips.
According to Agus, owner of Focus Motor, used LSUVs in this price range remain in demand because they offer roomy cabins and high ground clearance that suit Indonesian road conditions.
Furthermore, according to Thung Andi Supriyadi, owner of Rendani Mobil, used LSUVs still have a stable market because the segment is considered versatile and suitable for Indonesian families’ needs.
‘The LSUV market is clear, because of high ground clearance and the ability to carry many passengers. So even used, if the condition is good, it remains in demand,’ he said.
Here are used LSUV options under Rp150 million that are still widely available in the market:
- Toyota Rush (2015–2017)
The Toyota Rush is known for its toughness and wide service network. Its 1.5-litre engine is relatively robust for daily use. In the used car market, prices range from Rp130 million to Rp150 million depending on condition and trim.
- Daihatsu Terios (2015–2017)
Its twin, the Rush, offers slightly more competitive pricing. The Terios is suitable for small families needing seven seats. 2015–2017 units are commonly marketed from Rp125 million to Rp145 million.
- Honda BR-V (2016–2017)
The early BR-V generation offers a more modern design with Honda’s usual comfort. The 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine is fairly responsive, with a choice of manual and CVT. Used prices are now in the vicinity of Rp150 million for early production years.
- Suzuki XL7 (early 2020, base trim or Zeta)
Some base-spec XL7 units from early 2020 sometimes touch Rp150 million in certain markets. This car offers more modern features and a more contemporary SUV look than older LSUVs.
