Used Hybrid Car Resale Prices Start from Rp 200 Million
SOLO, KOMPAS.com - The resale price of hybrid cars in Indonesia is considered quite stable and competitive compared to other new technologies. This makes hybrids increasingly considered a safe choice, both when buying new and when reselling.
In general, cars experience significant depreciation in the first year. However, several hybrid models are able to hold their price drop better than conventional cars.
Examples include the Toyota Innova Zenix Hybrid, Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid, and Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid, which are known to have strong resale values in the market.
“The resale price is relatively better than electric cars because the technology is simpler and repairs cost less if damaged,” said Bina to KOMPAS.com on Sunday (26/4/2026).
Compared to pure electric cars, hybrids tend to be more stable. Used electric cars often experience sharper price drops due to battery technology factors and market uncertainty.
In addition, hybrid cars do not rely on charging infrastructure like electric cars. Users simply refuel with fuel as usual without needing major adaptations.
“Hybrid cars tend to be more easily accepted by consumers because they can still be filled with petrol, so it’s not complicated like electric cars,” said Toro, owner of Bathara Motor Solo, to KOMPAS.com recently.
Hardi Wibowo, owner of the used car workshop and showroom Aha Motor Yogyakarta, said that hybrid cars have the advantage of efficiency, making fuel consumption more economical.
However, consumers still need to consider repair costs when the battery is damaged.
“Repairs are more expensive than conventional cars, but cheaper than pure electric cars because the battery capacity is relatively smaller,” said Hardi.
