US Threatens to Launch Devastating Attack on Iran
Washington (ANTARA) - White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated on Wednesday (25/3) that US President Donald Trump will launch a devastating attack against Iran if Tehran refuses to forge an agreement related to the war involving the US and Israel. “President Trump is not bluffing and he is prepared to launch a devastating attack. Any form of violence after this will occur because Iran refuses to understand that they have lost and refuses to forge an agreement,” Leavitt said during a White House press briefing. However, Leavitt declined to disclose with whom Washington is negotiating regarding ways to end the war with Iran. “We will not detail these ongoing negotiations and discussions because, of course, as you can imagine, they are highly sensitive diplomatic talks,” Leavitt stated. Leavitt opined that the war that broke out on 28 February 2026 is estimated to continue for four to six weeks. Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated there are no talks or negotiations between Iran and the US, in an exclusive interview with India Today on Wednesday (25/3). “No party can trust US diplomacy,” Baghaei remarked, adding that Iran has had a very bad experience with US diplomacy, as reflected in US attacks during past negotiations on the nuclear issue. Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for Iran’s main military command, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, conveyed that the US is negotiating with itself due to internal disagreements. Zolfaghari urged the US to stop disguising its defeat as a “deal,” adding, “The strategic power boasted by the enemy side has turned into a strategic defeat.”
