Tehran (ANTARA) - The United States has submitted a five-point proposal in response to Iran’s peace proposal, according to Iranian media reports on Sunday (17/5).

Earlier on Friday, the Tehran Times reported that the US had rejected Iran’s 14-point proposal for resolving the conflict between the two countries.

US President Donald Trump described Iran’s latest response to the previous US proposal as completely unacceptable.

The US is now demanding that Iran revoke its claims for compensation and surrender 400 kilograms of enriched uranium to the US.

According to the report, only one Iranian nuclear facility will be allowed to remain operational. In addition, Iran is also being asked to revoke its demand for the release of 25 percent of its assets.

It was also mentioned that the cessation of conflict would depend on the outcome of negotiations on these requirements.

At the same time, the Fars news agency reported that the threat of further aggression from the US and Israel against Iran remains, even if Iran accepts all of the demands.
