United States strikes targeted an airport, a railway station and two bridges in Iran overnight, killing three people and wounding several others, according to Iranian state media.

State television reported on Telegram that three explosions were heard near Iranshahr Airport in the southeast, with at least one American projectile striking the facility. The Mehr news agency said the Bandar Abbas railway junction in the south was also hit, leaving two Iranians injured.

In the southern province of Hormozgan, attacks on two bridges killed three people and left nine wounded, an increase from earlier reports of two dead and four injured. Another person was reportedly wounded in the western port city of Bushehr.

The strikes mark a further escalation in the Middle East conflict, where American and Iranian forces have exchanged fire while vying for control of the vital Strait of Hormuz waterway.
