US Strikes Iran Again, Trump Says It's Retaliation for Killed Personnel
Istanbul (ANTARA) - United States President Donald Trump has confirmed that a series of US military strikes against Iran are retaliation for the killing of US personnel in the Middle East. “We hit them again very hard tonight and we did it for three, not two, great patriots who fell,” Trump told reporters upon arrival at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Sunday. Besides mentioning severe damage at several points in Iran due to the US attacks, Trump also stressed that Iran must never be allowed to possess nuclear weapons. “We control the Strait of Hormuz and Iran controls nothing,” he asserted. He said Iran may still have some missiles and drones, but not many. “We are no longer limiting our steps to just preventing Iran from having certain capabilities; we are going to finish this matter completely. We will direct attacks at Iran and we will see what happens afterwards,” he said.
