The United States has launched further strikes on Iranian territory, with a series of explosions reported in several cities across the country.

“At 4:45 pm local time today, US Central Command began conducting a third consecutive night of strikes against Iran, at the direction of the Commander-in-Chief,” US Central Command stated, as reported by detikNews on Tuesday (14/7/2026).

US officials said the latest wave of attacks targeted Iranian military forces. A US official told CNN that the targets included Iranian military assets, including coastal surveillance systems as well as drone and missile capabilities.

“These strikes will continue to exact a heavy toll on Iranian forces and degrade their ability to attack innocent civilians and commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz,” US Central Command wrote.

Following the latest US strikes, a series of explosions were reported in several Iranian cities. Iran’s state news agency, IRNA, reported three explosions were heard in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas.

The Hormozgan Provincial Government stated a projectile struck the western part of Bandar Abbas. However, there have been no reports of casualties so far, according to the semi-official Fars News Agency.

According to Fars, explosions were also heard on Kish Island, Qeshm, and Abu Musa. Additionally, blasts were reported in Jam and Kangan, in Bushehr Province.
