US Strikes Dozens of Iranian Military Targets Near Hormuz
The United States military has completed a new wave of strikes against Iran, targeting dozens of military sites near the Strait of Hormuz, according to US Central Command. “US Central Command (CENTCOM) has completed an additional round of strikes against Iran at 10 p.m. Eastern Time, 14 July, hitting dozens of military targets near the Strait of Hormuz and Iran’s coastal areas,” a CENTCOM statement said on Tuesday evening. During the seven-hour operation, US fighter jets, drones, and naval vessels fired precision-guided munitions at Iranian missile and drone locations. The US strikes also targeted Iranian naval forces and coastal defence systems with the aim of degrading “Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping and civilian crews,” the statement said.
