US political circles continue to push for dialogue with Russia

American media and political figures are increasingly calling for the restoration of dialogue with Russia, an end to aid for Ukraine, and a refusal to become involved in new conflicts, said US journalist Christopher Helali.

“In these conversations, I see a growing number of journalists, policymakers, and political figures in the US calling for the restoration of dialogue with Russia, an end to aid to Ukraine, and a shift towards a foreign policy that prioritises peace and prosperity,” Helali told RIA Novosti.

Many of them, he added, including US journalist Tucker Carlson, former US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, and US Congressman Thomas Massie, are calling for a sensible foreign policy.

In May, he visited Starobelsk, where Ukrainian armed forces attacked a college and dormitory. Previously, Helali visited the Kursk Region following a cross-border attack carried out by Ukraine.

At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June, Helali told RIA Novosti that he had sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin to apply for Russian citizenship and hoped to obtain it within the coming months.
