Personnel from the TNI Habema Operations Command evacuated the body of Nicholas F. Goselin (29), an AMA pilot who was shot by an armed criminal group (KKB) in Balinggama, Sobaham District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Pegunungan, on Thursday (2/7). The body was taken directly to Timika following the evacuation.

Head of Information for the TNI Habema Operations Command, Lieutenant Colonel Inf M. Wirya Arthadiguna, stated that the evacuation process is currently underway. The body will be flown directly to Timika, Central Papua, after being evacuated.

Three helicopters were deployed to evacuate the body of the pilot, who was a United States citizen. The evacuation process proceeded swiftly, and the body is currently en route to Timika.

According to data compiled by ANTARA, the aircraft burned by the KKB was a Pilatus. The plane was flying from Wamena to Timika with seven passengers on board. The seven passengers were Eston Sobolim, Kluenang Sobolim, Toni Balingga, Elina Sobolim, Ona Sobolim, Lisenia Balingga, and Vaince Amo Hoso.
