US Not Interested in Russia's Proposal for Exporting Enriched Uranium from Iran
Moscow (ANTARA) - Russia’s proposal to export enriched uranium from Iran is currently not of interest to the United States, said Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov on Friday. On Wednesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Russia is prepared to play a role in resolving the issue of Iran’s enriched uranium in a manner as acceptable as possible to Iran. “This proposal is currently not of interest to the United States,” Peskov told reporters. At the same time, Russia remains open to receiving enriched uranium from Iran, the official added.
