DENPASAR, Bali: Two warships of the United States Navy have moored at the Benoa port here to allow 800 crew members to tour Indonesia's world-renowned tourist spot, Antara reported.
The two warships are the USS Jarrett and the USS Camden, 1st Lt (Navy) Agus Suyatno, an operations staff officer at the Benoa naval base, said here Friday.
The 148-meter long USS Jarrett, under the command of Capt M.S. Joyce, has successfully docked in Benoa harbor, while the 200- meter long USS Camden, under the command of Capt S. Kendrick, has anchored in the roads due to insufficient pier facilities.
Suyatno said the two warships, which arrived from Singapore, will stay for five days until Sunday. While in Bali, he said, their 800 crew members will visit the island's famous tourist objects such as Kintamani, Tanah Lot, Sangeh and Kuta.
They will also donate toys to an orphanage in Dalung village, Kuta subdistrict, Suyatno said.
