US Military Operations Against Iran Cost Exceeds Rp1,000 Trillion

Washington (ANTARA) - The cost of US military operations against Iran has reached 61 billion US dollars (approximately Rp1,000 trillion), according to the real-time monitor Iran War Cost Tracker. The portal updates data instantaneously and calculates the costs required for personnel and ships deployed to the area, as well as other related expenditures. Its calculation methodology is based on Pentagon reports to Congress, which state that the first six days of operations cost 11.3 billion US dollars (approximately Rp194 trillion), plus other expenditures that will reach 1 billion US dollars (approximately Rp17 trillion) per day. On 28 February, the United States and Israel launched joint attacks on targets in Iran, causing infrastructure damage and killing civilians. On 7 April, Washington and Tehran announced a two-week ceasefire. Subsequent negotiations in Islamabad, Pakistan ended without results. However, there was no announcement of resuming hostilities, although the US began imposing a blockade on Iranian ports. On Tuesday (21/4), Trump said the US would extend the ceasefire with Iran while continuing the blockade. The following day, the US President stated that peace talks with Iran “might” occur within the next 36 to 72 hours.
