US military base in Kuwait comes under renewed Iranian drone strikes

Iranian forces have resumed drone attacks on Kuwait. The United States military base at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, came under drone strikes. According to detikNews, citing Al Jazeera and AFP, on Thursday 5 March 2026, Iran announced that it had launched drones at the U.S. base at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. The report was released via the semi-official Tasnim News Agency. Iran also attacked Camp Udairi, home to U.S. troops. Iranian combat drones were seen heading toward the target. ‘Naval drone units of the armed forces targeted the location of Camp Udairi, U.S. troops in Kuwait using combat drones,’ the military said in a statement carried on state television. It is known that Camp Buehring, previously known as Udairi, is the primary U.S. military facility in north-west Kuwait. As information, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had announced a ‘new wave of attacks’ on Arifjan Base. The base is described as the headquarters of U.S. forces in Kuwait. Al Jazeera reported on Tuesday (3 March) that IRGC claimed to have attacked the base with 10 drones. Iran claimed the drones had hit their targets. However, so far there has been no official statement from Kuwait or the U.S. regarding the attacks.
