Tehran – The Iranian Red Crescent Society says that 6,668 civilian locations have been targeted by strikes carried out by the United States and Israel. The figure includes thousands of homes and dozens of public service facilities. Anadolu reported, the Iranian aid organisation said that the strikes carried out by the United States and Israel hit a large number of civilian infrastructure across the country. According to the statement, 5,535 residential buildings, 1,041 commercial units, 14 health centres, 65 schools, and 13 facilities affiliated with the Red Crescent are among the affected sites. The organisation also reported that a number of aid and rescue vehicles were damaged as a result of the strikes, while some aid workers and Red Crescent staff members were injured. The statement emphasised that strikes targeting civilians by the United States and Israel violate the Geneva Conventions. “International bodies, humanitarian organisations, and human rights advocates are expected to take swift and effective action to protect civilian lives, ensure the safety of aid workers, and ensure respect for international humanitarian law,” it added.
