US-Israel Must Be Punished and Pay Compensation to Iran

Iran’s Chief Justice, Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, stated that the US and Israel are responsible for their military aggression. Therefore, they must be punished and pay war reparations. In his statement during a meeting with several high-ranking judicial officials, Ejei outlined the legal foundations for condemning the US and Israel based on international law. The highest judge stated that both regimes, during their military aggression against Iran, have deliberately committed various war crimes. This includes the murder of children and civilians, as well as attacks on protected locations such as hospitals, schools, universities, and residential areas. Referring to the provisions of the 1949 Geneva Convention, Ejei emphasised that the US and Israel not only violated the Geneva Convention and its additional protocols during the attacks on Iran, but also breached customary rules applicable in armed conflicts. The Head of the Judiciary also mentioned efforts to prosecute the aggression and crimes of the US and Israel against the Iranian people in courts and international forums. He said that Iranian authorities must exert maximum efforts to obtain the legitimate rights of the nation in international judicial and legal institutions.
