US-Israel Attack Iran, Several Explosions in Bahrain
MILITARY tensions in the Middle East entered a critical phase on Saturday (28 February 2026). The impact of Israel’s attack on Iran has begun to spread to neighbouring countries. Bahrain officially sounded air raid sirens across its entire territory.
Bahrain’s Interior Ministry issued emergency instructions to all citizens and residents following reports of several explosions in the island nation. Security authorities urged the public to remain calm but vigilant.
“Air raid sirens have sounded. We advise citizens and residents to use main roads only in very urgent circumstances,” read the official statement from Bahrain’s Interior Ministry, quoted from Al Arabiya.
Israel’s Defence Authority confirmed that the strike on Iran was undertaken as a preemptive measure to neutralise threats to their sovereignty. However, Israel is also preparing to face major consequences from the operation.
Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, has signed a special order declaring a state of emergency across Israeli territory in accordance with the Civil Defence Law. This step was taken because intelligence has predicted a massive retaliatory attack from Iran using a combination of ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).
“Israel launched strikes against Iran to eliminate threats to this authority,” stated Israel’s Defence Authority in its official press release.
The involvement of Bahrain’s airspace and reports of explosions in the region indicate that this conflict is no longer limited to two main actors. Gulf region countries are now tightening their air defence to avoid collateral damage from projectiles crossing their sovereign airspace.
The Indonesian Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, continues to monitor the impact of this escalation on the safety of Indonesian nationals not only in Iran but also in neighbouring countries such as Bahrain and Israel.
