US-Israel Air Strike Kills 85 at School in Iran

At least 85 students have been killed in an air strike allegedly carried out by the United States and Israel at a girls’ school in Minab, Hormozgan Province, Iran, on Saturday, 28 February 2026. Minab is a city that also hosts a base of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

Social media footage shows the destruction of the primary school following the strike. The White House has not yet issued an official comment regarding the incident.

This air strike was part of a wider military operation targeting multiple locations across Iran, including areas near the office of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian.

Thick smoke has been seen rising from the Iranian capital, with Reuters reporting that strikes took place nationally. Iranian authorities continue to confirm the condition of victims and the scale of destruction, whilst the international community awaits an official response from Washington and Tel Aviv.
