US-Iran on the Brink of War Again, Washington Claims to Have Destroyed Tehran's Vessels

The statement confirms US President Donald Trump’s assertion that the US attacked seven small Iranian vessels in an effort to open the Strait of Hormuz. “Today, Sea Hawk helicopters and US Army AH-64 Apache helicopters were used to eliminate small Iranian vessels threatening commercial shipping,” Centcom wrote in a social media post. The US attack on the Iranian vessels is described as part of ‘Project Freedom’. Trump wants the Strait of Hormuz free from threats posed by Iranian vessels. The US is escorting large vessels out of Hormuz. Iranian state media reported fires on several commercial ships at the dock in the southern Iranian port of Dayyer.
