US–Iran conflict triggers flight cancellations; foreign nationals in Bali exempt from overstay fines
Immigration officers provided information to foreign nationals in the International Terminal area of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Badung, Bali, on Wednesday, 4 March 2026. The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office offered Izin Tinggal Keadaan Terpaksa (ITKT) services and announced a policy setting the stay permit overstay or late stay fee at Rp0 (zero rupiah) for foreign nationals affected by flight cancellations caused by the closure of airspace over several Middle Eastern countries amid the United States–Israel–Iran conflict.
As of Wednesday afternoon, 4 March, 35 international flight schedules (20 departures and 15 arrivals) at Bali airport had been cancelled, affecting 5,905 prospective passengers due to airspace closures in the Middle East tied to the United States–Israel–Iran conflict.
