Several flights to the Middle East from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) in Tangerang have been affected by the conflict between the US-Israel coalition and Iran. PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports), the operator of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, has confirmed that flight operations to the Middle East have experienced cancellations and delays following airspace closures in several countries.

According to Antara news agency on Sunday, 1 March 2026, Aziz Fahmi Harahap, Acting Assistant Deputy for Communication and Legal Affairs at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, stated that affected departing flights include Etihad Airways (EY472) to Abu Dhabi, Qatar Airways (QR954) to Doha, Qatar Airways (QR957) to Doha, Emirates (EK357) to Dubai, Etihad Airways (EY475) to Abu Dhabi, Garuda Indonesia (GA900) to Doha, and Etihad Airways (EY473) to Abu Dhabi.

“For inbound flights, Etihad Airways EY 472 from Abu Dhabi to Jakarta and Qatar Airways QR 954 from Doha to Jakarta have been cancelled,” Aziz stated.

In response to the flight delays and cancellations, the airport has provided assistance to affected passengers in accordance with applicable procedures, including travel document cancellation processes at immigration and coordination with airlines regarding accommodation arrangements and flight rescheduling.

“Overall, the situation in the terminal remains safe and conducive,” he said.

Aziz assured that flight operations at Soetta airport, particularly for other international routes, continue to proceed safely and smoothly. Airport management guarantees that all passenger services function optimally, for both departure and arrival operations.

“Intensive coordination is continuously maintained with airlines, airport authorities and other relevant agencies to anticipate various operational dynamics and ensure safety, security and service standards remain protected,” he explained.

InJourney, as the primary airport operator in Indonesia, has advised prospective passengers travelling to Middle East routes to actively monitor flight information updates through official airline channels or by contacting relevant airline customer services to obtain current departure status information.

“Additionally, we continue to conduct regular monitoring of operational developments across all terminals, particularly for international flight services, so that any potential obstacles can be addressed quickly and appropriately,” he concluded.
