US Intelligence Finds No Evidence of Iranian Attack Plans

Pentagon officials provided a closed briefing to senior Congressional staff regarding military operations against Iran. According to a source familiar with the briefing, intelligence assessments found no evidence that Iran was planning attacks against US forces—a statement that contradicted earlier claims made by senior government officials to reporters one day prior, who had warned of Iranian threats.

During a telephone call with Congressional aides, Pentagon officials reiterated that Iranian ballistic missiles and proxy forces continue to pose a direct threat to US interests. Congress was informed that US military operations have been concentrated on Iranian air defence systems as well as command and control facilities. Military officials disclosed that significant quantities of ammunition were expended during the operations.

NBC News previously reported that senior government officials are scheduled to provide further briefings to all members of Parliament at Capitol on the following Tuesday. Among those scheduled to attend are Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth.

An Israeli official stated that military operations against Iran aimed to weaken the Tehran regime to the point of collapse.
