US Federal Judge Warns Justice Department Over Jeffrey Epstein Case Documents

A federal judge has issued a stern warning to the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) regarding the handling of documents in the case of the late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein. The judge stressed that the agency could face contempt of court sanctions if it continues to delay or fails to comply with court orders.

The warning was delivered during a hearing discussing transparency and the release of files related to the Epstein investigation. The court considered the DOJ’s repeated delays in submitting documents or proposing redactions without clear justification to have impeded the legal process.
