WASHINGTON (AP): Career diplomat Robert Gelbard, the State Department's top adviser on Bosnia, is expected to be named ambassador to Indonesia, an official said on Thursday.
Gelbard previously served as chief of the department's counter-narcotics office. He also was ambassador to Bolivia.
If nominated and confirmed by the Senate, Gelbard would replace Ambassador J. Stapleton Roy in Jakarta.
