US dollar hits Rp 17,700 this morning

United States dollar strengthens against the rupiah. In today’s trading, it traded around Rp 17,700. According to detikFinance on Tuesday 19 May 2026, based on Bloomberg data at 09:21 WIB, the USD moved to Rp 17,705. At the close on Monday 18 May, the USD had breached Rp 17,680. The USD also strengthened against a number of global currencies. Against the Canadian dollar, the USD rose 0.07%. However, against the Japanese yen, the USD fell 0.09%. Against the Swiss franc (CHF), the USD rose 9.13%. However, it fell 0.08% against the euro (EUR). The USD also declined against several other currencies such as the British pound by 0.13% and the Australian dollar by 0.35%.
