The exchange rate of the United States Dollar (USD) continues to strengthen against the Indonesian Rupiah. This appreciation has pushed the currency of the United States to the Rp 17,600 level in this morning’s trading.

According to Bloomberg data on Monday (18/05/2026) at approximately 09:10 WIB, the US Dollar exchange rate stood at Rp 17,658, representing a gain of 61 points (0.35%). This condition marks the worst historical position of the Rupiah against the US Dollar.

Beyond its impact on the Rupiah, the US Dollar was also observed to be strengthening against several other currencies. The USD rose against the Korean Won, Japanese Yen, Canadian Dollar, and Swiss Franc, while it weakened slightly against the Hong Kong Dollar.

In detail, the US Dollar rose by 0.57% against the Korean Won and increased by 0.03% against the Japanese Yen.
